Hollis Bischoff, Founder and Admissions Advisor
Strategies 4 Admissions, founded by Hollis Bischoff, is focused on creating the right college match. A college admissions advisor, Hollis has counseled scores of students, and their families, through the increasingly complex and competitive college admissions process.
A parent of 2 teenagers herself, Hollis understands the issues that parents and students face during the high school years. As a volunteer with both her local high school (she has been honored as a "Friend of Mountain View/Los Altos Union High school") and www.build.org, she values school-based student services available. Her college consulting practice is meant to partner with and enhance, not compete with school provided services. Hollis is a regular contributor to the "Punch" newsletter, published by College Confidential and College View.
Hollis earned a Graduate level Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA, after a successful professional career, to complement her Bachelor’s of Science in Commerce from DePaul University. She is a member of the Higher Educational Consultant's Association (HECA), Independent Educational Counselor's Association (IECA), and National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC).
Hollis has substantial experience in the business world and her profession experience: writer, trainer, teacher, project manager, marketer, and entrepreneur infuses her college consulting with practical experience that cannot be gained out of a text book or in a classroom. Her mastery of public speaking keeps her in demand as a featured speaker at meetings and conferences, making her the ideal consultant for preparing a student for college, including interviews, essays and the application process.
